Happy 24th Birthday Leah and Ashley!!

The girls reserved a private section of the
Atlantic Beer Garden for their birthday celebrations.

You can reserve a function space at the ABG for no charge and guests in your party will enjoy line privileges and food and drink service. Most (but not all) of our party arrived before the line got crazy. I wasn't in direct interaction with the bouncers but it seemed like they granted line privileges when approached by someone else in our party who was already inside and able to verify the person in question was legit. Hey bouncers can't trust just anyone these days!

At ABG is there is no cover charge and probably why everyone flocks here on Saturday night. That and the fact that they have a patio overlooking the water on the first floor and a spacious third floor roof deck with a pretty amazing view. (I wasn't up there last night, but can speak from past experience.)

First floor patio with a view of the Seaport World Trade Center.
Our waitress did a great job managing a number of tabs. She seemed to be present more often than not whenever any member of our party was in need of a refill or a round of shots. As evidenced by mine and Adam's tab below:

I started the evening with a Hoegaarden but realized shortly thereafter I didn't want to drink beer all night. One of the reasons being after I drank this beer I waited in line to pee for
15 minutes, maybe longer. The bathroom is a one room / no stalls kinda deal. I couldn't understand being a restaurant and bar as large as they are and packing in a crowd as large as they do, why the first floor only offered one toilet.

I followed Adam's lead and we drank Rum & Coke's for the majority of the evening.

Sometime in between were Chocolate Cake shots and towards the end of the night were Bud and Miller Lights. In typical birthday fashion there was real cake....

Are you guys 24 or 42?

Sunglasses at night wearing

and general birthday madness.

The night was a success. Plus we got to enjoy a scenic walk to the bar and a no-cab-shenanigans walk home.

My sisters birthday weekend ends just in time for Adam's birthday weekend to begin. I have much more celebrating to look forward to this week!

3 choc cakes for you two, eh? I hate it when there aren't enough loos (toilets)!
Oh, fun! Looks like you guys had a great time, that's awesome! That is ridiculous about the bathrooms, I mean, it's a bar, duh! People are drinking there, lol! XO!
Oh! From the pictures I can imagine how much fun you all had...good for you :-)

Happy Bday to Leah! Looks like it was a fun night! Can't wait to walk the streets of Boston with you in 11 days! ;)

Pretty walk home.
That place sounds fun and I love the fact that you had nothing but good things to say about the staff. A lot of bars in Boston just have 19 year old snotty girls serving cocktails without even knowing what's in them.
Love the colorful dress!
pretty pretty dress my love. the pic on the cake is so fun, aw forever friends. happy bday leah :)
Love the blog and the fact that you shared the receipt :)
You can't go wrong with beer, shots and birthday cake!! My kind of party ;-)

I have alwayyyys wanted to go to a beer garden! There is one up in brooklyn that I plan on making an appearance at next time I go up to NYC. The party looks fantastic, I'm glad you had a good time (:
Wow, sounds like such a fun night! Good call on getting the Hoegaarden, too.
That looks like such a fun place! I wish I was in Boston so I could check this place out. Maybe one of these days...
Great pictures!
Love the ABG roofdeck! Have you gone to Whiskey Priest yet, next door? They have a nice roof space too :)
