There's something about the dunes here. Raw. Beautiful. Undisguised. Soft and windswept. Coarse and weathered. They deserved a post of their own.
I grew up on Cape Cod. There are famous song lyrics about our dunes! Rightfully so. There are similarities in the east and west coast dunes, but a different overall vibe at the same time.
I am so glad we made Newport our home base for a few days. I really, really loved this place.
