Cocktails @ W Hotel

At the W Hotel's intimate lounge I grabbed cocktails with some blogger pals. Among the new-to-me faces were Pam from Cave Cibum, Athena from Finance Foodie, Christine from CitySearch and Eric from Argyle & Gingham.
The Smorgie Cocktail created by the hotel's mixologist hours earlier is a sweet and refreshing blend of Chartreuse, Simple Syrup, Lemon, Pineapple and Basil.

Can you tell I loved photographing this cocktail?! I liked drinking it even more. The group munched on appetizers from the hotel restaurant Market.
We were served Edamame pilled with salt, lemon zest and red pepper. I enjoyed this uniquely seasoned version of a favorite soybean appetizer.
The Mozarella & Tomato Pizza was fairly standard.
But the Cheese Fritters were a unanimous favorite.
Battered and fried, these warm spinach and cheese balls were a gooey bite of comfort.
The sophisticated lounge looks out over bustling Stuart and Tremont Streets through dramatic gray curtains. The plush couches lined with rows of pillows, modern chairs and sleek furniture provide a relaxing atmosphere to linger over cocktails and appetizers.
Megan might or might not have persuaded me to pop into Market for dinner. Not that I required much persuading. I was happy to oblige and try out the dinner menu. Review to follow!

  1. Had fun at the event with you. I really need to spend some time putting together a restaurant "wishlist" on smorgie, so I don't keep losing track of all the places I want to try. At least I was able to cross one off that list last night!
