coppersmith

A first look at what is already South Boston's newest go-to; I got to check out Coppersmith at their soft opening last Thursday. The commanding warehouse space - once a copper foundry is now home to a gleaming 110 seat mahogany wood bar, soaring exposed brick walls and dueling stationary food trucks. We drank Goosehead IPA and Whale's Tale Pale Ale on draught and ate things like grilled na'an with curried oyster mushrooms, sweet onions and potato spiced yogurt and a buttermilk fried chicken sandwich with pimento cheese spread and pickled green tomatoes. The bar staff are some of the nicest around
