We booked our trip to T+C super last minute (merely 2 weeks prior), and it was the new years holiday, so the ever popular stretch of resorts on Grace Bay were fully booked. (The affordable ones, at least!) We stayed at Hotel La Vista Azul in an area called Turtle Cove in The Bight Settlement. We absolutely loved discovering this area of the island, slightly off the beaten tourist path and yet very nice/safe/walkable.
The resort grounds themselves were very pretty with well maintained fountains and flora. There are fantastic restaurants and the gorgeous Bight Beach, accessible via paved sidewalks (we had our stroller so, win!) Grace Bay was just a short car ride away. We booked a 1 bedroom suite which was technically a one bedroom studio since there was no door separating the bed from the main living area, just a hallway. It was still good to have somewhat of a space separation. Our suite had laundry, a full kitchen and daily housekeeping. The crown jewel was our sprawling kid friendly high-walled patio. A perfect space for us to chill and them to play. In all my photographs I managed to miss a shot of the dueling rooftop pools - one cold, one heated!
So our last minute booking didn't plop us directly in the sands of Grace Bay; I was still pretty content staying at this serene property in fun-to-explore Turtle Cove. If the double rainbow that greeted us minutes upon arrival was any indication, it's where we were meant to be!
