Five Years

“I have found out that there ain’t no surer way to find out whether you like people or hate them than to travel with them.” – Mark TwainAdam and I met July 14th, 2006 and officially started dating a couple months later in early September. We discovered a mutual love of traveling after our first weekend away together in New York City.
Pop Burger | NYC - Late September 2006

I had not traveled much outside the US in 2006, but had recently developed aspirations to do so. Adam had been to Europe quite a few times, and wanted to go back. There was a desire to wander foreign and US city streets, to take in the history, culture, food, nightlife and quite simply to have new and hopefully exciting experiences, together. The wanderlust combined with a need for relaxation additionally finds us venturing to warm, sunny beach locales. So while we're celebrating our anniversary in Spain, here's a look back on five years of us at our best!Ancient Acropolis | Athens, Greece - September 2007Mythos Lager | Athens, Greece - September 2007

Caldera View | Santorini, Greece - October 2007
Perissa Beach | Santorini, Greece - October 2007Tropical Bar | Fira, Santorini - October 2007Nea Kamini Volcano | Santorini, Greece - October 2007McGee's Pub | NYC - December 2007Excalibur | Las Vegas, Nevada - June 2008Kahunaville, Treasure Island | Las Vegas, Nevada - June 2008
La Tour Eiffel | Paris, France - September 2009
Le Louvre | Paris, France - September 2009

Monet's Garden | Giverny, France -September 2009
Cafe in the Old Port | Marseille, France - September 2009
Calanque en Vau | Cassis, France - September 2009
Monte Carlo | Monaco - September 2009
Promenade des Anglais | Nice, France - September 2009
Nightlife | Nice, France - September 2009
Sunset | Captiva Island, Florida - October 2010

So it seems I got a little carried away with the picture montage! Especially those from Santorini (playing favorites, I guess.) Here's to five amazing adventure filled years together and may the Wanderlust continue.
In the meantime, tell me your favorite travel destinations to add to our list!
P.S. We will be home soon!! (Maybe....)
