Giveaway | Barrio Pop Up Dinner

Today I am hosting my first ever blog giveaway! I've been holding out for a good one, because I would not offer you guys anything less than something awesome. However, this one pertains to local readers only.
A lucky reader will win two tickets for them + 1 guest to attend a Barrio Pop Up Dinner Party hosted by Chef Wheeler del Torro (pop up restaurateur and vegan ice cream maker extraordinaire) and Chef Tim Maslow (of Watertown's Strip T's, pictured below). These culinary masterminds are in the process of developing a joint menu for the dinner, which will take place on Thursday, April 26th at 8 pm. The location will be revealed the night of the event.
To enter: Make sure you are available to attend and please leave a comment (linked to your blog or email) below telling me your favorite dish to serve at a dinner party. For an additional entry, tweet about the giveaway with a link to this post and leave a comment letting me know you've done so. The contest is open for one week until April 18th. I will also be attending the dinner and am really looking forward to it. Good Luck!

Update: Using Random.org - lucky #14 is the winner. Congrats Nicole!

  3. I love making anything that consists of a fruit, meat, and cheese combo! My favorite is a fig, prosciutto and goat cheese pizza, or cranberry, prosciutto and brie in phyllo cups- so good. I would love to win this giveaway- I'm free that night and close by the North End :)

  5. I cannot make that night, which is way to bad because this sounds awesome! Since I don't have a kitchen table I do lots of cocktail parties and my go to is always brie - cold, baked or otherwise prepared, it always is present!

  8. Silly question, is this.. win tickets (admission) and then pay for the food? Or is the food included in the winning ticket?

But, generally, my favorite dinner party foods are ones that I can make ahead of time and reheat well. Things like chili, or marinated carrots with cumin and coriander, or braised meats of any kind!

  22. Cool first giveaway! I've been meaning to go to Strip Ts. If it's not a sit down dinner, then my favorite thing is a huge spread of cheese along with some nuts and fruit and assortment of crackers and bread.

  23. I've been a long time fan of your blog and I'm excited for this giveaway! I lived in Baltimore before my move to Boston, so during dinner parties I like to make a hot and cheesy Baltimore crab dip with Old Bay. Definitely a great way to start a party lol.
