september 13

If you follow me on instagram, this beach may look familiar. I spent a lot of summer days here. Crowes Pasture is a tiny slice of heaven nestled on beautiful Cape Cod Bay.

p.s. the Inflatable Stand Up Paddleboard (fun, relaxing, easy to transport, a breeze to inflate, less $ than a regular sup.)
p.p.s. Kellyn Anderson of Bow + Arrow does my hair (those blonde streaks, i love em!)

A late July beach day on Crowes Pasture. Complete with my new summer obsession, Flash Tattoos.

cape & islands spring

Cape Cod and the Islands in the springtime are a lovely place to be. I feel like I packed in an entire summers worth of favorite places after back to back weekends in May. There was lots of quality time with Mom - dinner at Brewster Fish House for Mother's Day, grilling on her back deck and long beach walks in Dennis. Memorial Day Weekend saw opening night at The Beachcomber, a bike ride to Chatham Light and lunch at The Squire, and a spontaneous day trip to Nantucket to party with the Figawi Crowd.

Also, I just spent four days on Martha's Vineyard, so, a lot of that coming up next....

1. The bar at Brewster Fish House
2. evening walk on Corporation Beach
3. Pan-Roasted Skate Wing w/ marcona almond puree, pea tendrils, maitake & curry vinaigrette
4. Blue Haired Ladys at The Tavern on Nantucket
5. treasures from Chapin Beach in Dennis
6. Harpoon IPA at Chatham Squire | Lobster Roll at The Tavern
7. Chatham Lighthouse Beach
8. a morning on Chapin Beach in Dennis
9. dunes at Chatham Lighthouse Beach
10. salad and grilled pizza on my mom's back deck in Yarmouthport

late summer

I blinked and it was fall, and now here we are with October swiftly coming to a close. Before Austin there was lots of cape and island time - yarmouthport, dennis, eastham and nantucket, with beach sunsets, lobster rolls and clam fritters. There were memorable dinners like Wasko's Chicken Parm at the house on Nobadeer beach. There was also some stunning city sunsets from my balcony and incredible heirloom tomatoes.
Beautiful and distant memories as we move towards my favorite season, WINTER.

weekend on cape

Pictured: a long walk on Chapin Beach in Dennis, plus some antiquing in Brewster and a stroll through a quaint neighborhood in Centerville. These are just a few reasons why a Cape visit in the middle of winter is a welcome one. (Also good reasons: Inaho takeout, my Mom's cooking and in general spending time with her, yoga at Sasha's and movies at the Cape Playhouse.)
